Argyria and Silver Toxicity Myths Exposed

bluemanA simple search in Google for colloidal silver will drum up pages of videos and articles about turning blue and the huge cosmetic risk involved while taking colloidal silver. Understandably, nobody wants to turn blue. That would be a disaster of the worst kind.

So let me ask you this, seeing how there are an estimated 10 million people in the United States that take colloidal silver regularly, how is it that you have never seen a blue person?

Silver is a noble or transitional metal that humans have been using for millennium as a tool to keep healthy. The great irony is that oral silver has been used for thousands of years and yet there has not been even one case where the user was harmed in any way. Not one. Silver toxicity simply does not exist.

Easy litmus test: spend 10 minutes looking online for any case, ever, where anyone from any part of the world has been medically harmed by ingesting colloidal silver. People talk about silver toxicity and speculate, but I can’t find anything on the Internet that defines what it is, can you?

So what about NutraSilver? Will I turn blue?

In 8 years of globally distributing NutraSilver®, one of the most powerful colloidal silvers in the world, there have been NO substantiated reports of toxicity or argyria from customers or medical practitioners.

We have thousands of customers that take NutraSilver every day. How could it be that nobody turns blue? Aside from the fact that there is absolutely no evidence anywhere that silver toxicity exists at all, the technology that is used to create colloidal silver nowadays is so good and the particles are so small that the silver cannot get “stuck” in your skin or flesh to cause any cosmetic damage whatsoever.

Almost every case of argyria is 30+ years old, and that’s for good reason. So what does that mean for you? The use of silver is nothing new, but the technology that makes it is and that makes all the difference.

There is zero toxicity in NutraSilver as is demonstrated by the FDA-certified in-vivo lab tests conducted with living mammals.

space shuttle

  •  If silver were toxic, would NASA use silver to purify and recycle water on every Space Shuttle flight? Of course not.
  • If silver were toxic, would we place it directly in the eyes of newborn children to prevent eye infection and blindness? Of course not.
  • If silver were toxic, would medical science use it in hospital burn wards to prevent bacterial, fungal and viral infections? Of course not.
  • If silver were toxic, would an estimated 10 million Americans take some form of colloidal silver every day if it were toxic? Of course not.

There just is not any evidence to support the notion that silver is toxic or that it has any detrimental effect on a human being’s health. If you can find some, please let me know.

Certain Heath-care providers claim that silver is harmful to the human kidneys and liver. After weeks of research, we have failed to find even one supporting fact that supports this unsubstantiated rumor.

What the WHO And EPA have to say about Argyria (Turning Blue) and Toxicity

WHO. The World Health Organization states “The only obvious sign of silver overload is argyria, a condition in which skin and hair are heavily discolored by silver in the tissues. An oral NOAEL for argyria in humans for a total lifetime intake of 10 grams of silver was estimated on the basis of human case reports and long-term animal experiments.”

So, we have to ingest 10 grams of silver in order to have borderline toxicity, and that is just an educated guess. When translated into use of NutraSilver, the most silver-dense colloidal silver on the market, in order to reach 10 grams of NutraSilver® in your body you would have to ingest a huge number of bottles over a lifetime.

Do you know anyone who would do that? Neither do I. And even if they did drink NutraSilver like it was their beverage of choice, the body excretes is quickly and it doesn’t accumulate as readily as people assume.

EPA. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stated “Many different silver products have been and are still being used throughout the medical industry. Up until the advent of chemical antibiotics, as we now know them, which came about in the 1940s, some very strong silver products were being used as antibiotics. Of the millions of people who used these concentrated silver products, there were no reported deaths and only 239 reported cases of generalized argyria.” ( EPA Report ECAO- CIN-026, January 1991, page VI-3).

Let’s be very clear here: we are speaking of colloidal silver, NOT silver compounds which are no longer in use in any major product I have ever seen.

NutraSilver ® has exactly two ingredients:

  1. Real nano particles of silver mined from the earth.
  2. Double-distilled water.

Colloidal Silver Defined

We come up with colloidal silver using silver nano silver particles sized at between .0006 – .11 microns in diameter, which, in their original state, are NOT bound to any other elements and are suspended evenly in pure distilled water.
NOTE: If a product you find mentions the use of salts or any other substance, stay away from it. What you’d be taking isn’t colloidal silver because the silver effectively becomes an entirely different compound whose particle size, effect, and behavior are unknown.

This definition is important for several reasons. Formulations in this state respond differently in the body than the silver compounds or stabilized ionic solutions, if for no other reason than the extreme difference in the concentration of actual silver. The mainstream belief that all “colloidal silver” should fall under the same classification is erroneous. Therefore, not all products can be equally considered when considering the risk of argyria.

There are two points to be made regarding this:

  1. One, the amount of actual silver content in an “isolated” colloidal silver is truly negligible in comparison to silver compound products.
  2. Two, it has not been demonstrated, nor should it be assumed, that “isolated” colloidal silver products respond in the same manner as do compounds in the human body.

However, careful examination of studies done with silver salts and compounds can give a very clear idea of how much silver is required for toxicity in the human body (the most common manifestation being argyria).

Most of the material listed here regarding toxicity applies to silver in general, and is provided for the benefit of providing a complete knowledge base. The reader should always keep in mind that if isolated colloidal silver products DID respond in the body in the same manner as silver compounds, then there would be hundreds if not thousands of severe cases of argyria (a cosmetic condition) reported in the United States at this time.

How many ‘Blue’ people have you met?

It is estimated that 10 million Americans use colloidal silver routinely and there are approximately 300 million people in the USA, then one in 30 people could be blue. How many ‘Blue’ people have you met? Our guess is none.

The famous blue man that everyone freaks out about quite literally turned blue on purpose. He wanted the notoriety. Consequently, he turned blue but as per our previous statement of the non-existence of silver toxicity, he is perfectly healthy in every way. His blue-ness is cosmetic.

Granted, there is no denying the fact that there are a few blue, maybe a few hundred. Almost without exception, they seriously abused colloidal silver compounds in their home-brewed concoctions, innocently or not, their use of colloidal silver was improper and extreme.

It is reasonably safe to say that if you were to buy ANY store-bought silver today, it would have silver ions or silver particles in the low-nano size, so it is impossible to get argyria from them.
